"This hotel seems to be a hidden gem. It was amazing. Lots of history in the place, it was like staying in a museum. You could spend a day just exploring the hotel. People were incredible, friendly, helpful, I felt like a friend and not just a guest. The room I had was well appointed, with the usual, things. TV, safe, desk chairs, large bed on the firmer side and very comfortable. The shower had no water saving mechanism that I could tell, felt full on pressure. I forgot what that was...

"Stayed here for 2 nights and enjoyed our visit. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful and kind and the location was in a very good spot for our needs and seemed safe."

"The rooms are a little too dated. The room was very stuffy so we had to open Windows and there was no screens. There are not enough Outlets in the room. Also I am 5 ft 2 and it was very difficult for me to climb up into the bed. I know a lot of it has to do with the charm but some updates would make it more comfortable."

"The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The only issue I had with the room is that the bathroom mirror is so old, some of the silver backing is showing through. The beds were very comfortable. Alicia at the bar was also great helping me come up with ideas to spend the last day in SF with my daughter."

"Location, location, location! Great location. One unfortunate thing that happened was two guests having a loud argument, but the issue was promptly addressed by hotel staff, and resolved quickly. I actually live in San Francisco, but was doing a “staycation.” For a weekend. Would definitely stay again."

"I really liked the hotel and staff. Everyone is enthusiastic, helpful and courteous. The hotel is clean and well-appointed but in the midst of updating. Only one working elevator when we were there but that didn’t cause any undue delays for us. I would recommend adding a spare blanket to the closet for guests that might feel the need for a bit of extra warmth at night or just some added heft to the bedding. Super location to many venues and superb fine dining in downtown SF."

"Room was clean and spacious. We had one issue with the mini fridge making a sound and it was resolved by staff quickly. Elevator was fast and the hotel had a nice restaurant and cocktail space. Conveniently accessible to shopping and other touristy spots. Safe!"
