"Room furnishings are very dated and in a state of disrepair e.g. stained carpets, furniture drawers wonky and not closing properly, door handles coming off, the list is endless! I had to request a change of room which was slightly better and the in-room safe didn’t work. And when explaining this to staff I was asked what colour the safe was and was then met with an ‘ah, ok’, as if they expected it not to be working from the colour it was, remarkable! Evening meal was no better than supermarket...

"The room was absolutely fine. Clean and tidy. The bed was extremely comfortable but again, the lift was out of order and it was a long climb to the 5th floor. Right in the heart of the city it is ideally placed"

"The car park was only able to accomodate a small amount of cars, but there was plenty of parking on the side street which was ideal. The staff were very welcoming and extremely accomodating. The hotel is within walking distance to Anfield which was ideal as this is why we chose the hotel. My 9 year old son loved the hotel, describing it as the best ever. Mainly due to the 2 pool tables and all the memorabilia. We would definitely use this hotel again "

"On arrival staff member (or manager) appeared complacent and somewhat uninterested. Did not show us to the room, although easy to find (not accessible for anyone with a disability - two flights of stairs - not lift). Room was spacious for two. Given it was an old-ish annexe part of the main building the windows were draughty even with what seemed like outdated secondary glazing that barely closed (room 4). "I didn't stay. I never got sent check in instructions (code for the door etc) they never answered my messages and they didn't answer the phone. Absolute scam. Do not book this. Had to fork out for an emergency Travelodge "

"The communication on checking in was an absolute nightmare. It took us over 2 hrs to eventually speak to someone after calling, emailing and txting the no. Provided. Having my 2 small children with me and finally getting into our room at 10.30pm was very stressful."
