"The room was lovely and we had a view from our window directly onto a ship that was being refurbished - it was so unique!
We were very grateful there was free parking and the location was great: close to amenities and the promenade. The breakfast was a buffet with a lot of options. Really grateful for the vouchers we received each night we requested to not have our room cleaned -used towards breakfast one day -since food is so expensive in Iceland.
I would say the only thing I didn’t like was...

"Stay away! This has to be the worst hotel in Iceland.
I stayed here a few years and remember it fondly, this week has been a joke: nothing works, the staff are oblivious, the rooms are old and the breakfast buffet is terrible.
Let’s start from the top:
1) the rooms vary, you should insist on the ‘updated’ room otherwise you’re basically staying in a hostel
2) the faucet turns itself off. The shower can’t be fully turned off so it leaks all night. The TV doesn’t work - the channels buffer and...

"The perfect hotel for the trip!! We only stayed one night then headed east but the hotel was so nice, had lots of space, very friendly and helpful staff, and was in the perfect location for walking around the city- near all the city’s highlights, food, shopping, etc. Highly recommend!!"

"Property is what you are looking for, a place to rest and be in the middle of everything. The room was very clean, staff was cordial, breakfast was good and hot.
The area needs tourism, sadly that tow. Has been through everything. You should go and support it. I’m glad we did, went to the blue lagoon which is 10 minutes away. And there’s so much more."
