"I'll start off with the positives. - Stunning view of the lake - Welcoming staff. - Clean Negatives - Dated rooms. The bathroom sink was cracked and held together with some form of yellow/brown epoxy. Kind of puts you off initially. - Shower had poor pressure and the shower head bracket did not support it properly. - The lighting in the bathroom is on the dim side. - Breakfast took a while to get served, we even had to ask for an ETA. "We stayed for six nights, there was some fluff on the floor when we checked in, it was still there when we checked out! One evening, we had a decent lunch so only wanted a snack in the evening. We both had ham sandwiches which while nice ham, no attempt had been made to present them, for example, a salad garnish would have gone a long way. At breakfast the buffet was always running out of teaspoons, mugs for tea/coffee, marmalade, stupid things. One evening I went to use the disabled toilet,...

"We were on the ground floor near the gym and swimming pool.It was easy access as I have walking problems The only problem was the swimming pool was a bit cold."

"Hotel was very clean and well maintained. The employees went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The bar was so quaint and cool, good food also. The breakfast buffet in the morning was outstanding. The hotel is ocean front with great views and close to city center. It’s also walkable to the castle. Just a great hotel!"

"Rooms were dirty, mouldy walls, moudly curtains, previous guests make up and marks all over the headboard, a sink that took a day to drain, old tired bath that no one would ever want to relax in. Hooks hanging half out of the wall. Breakfast was poor, never seen a full English served with roast potatos and they tried to charge £2 for a coffee that isn't from a coffee press... "Highly recommend this hotel. You will not be disappointed. Its worth the slight inconvenience of having to park in one of the 3 or 4 nearby car parks which are run by bandits."
