"Unfortunately the restaurant in the hotel wasn’t open and the one across the car park unexpectedly closed down so bit of a walk to get breakfast. The hotel brought in some prepackaged croissants and pastries but no good coffee!"

"The Titanic hotel was excellent and the decor and ambience is brilliant. Rooms are superb with huge bathrooms. Breakfast was really good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay there again."

"Poor housekeeping. The bedroom needed a proper clean. Dust on shelves in wardrobe had to wipe before using. The sink was partly blocked my husband cleaned the plug etc also the water was very slow to drain away. We did inform the reception and was told they would notify the manager ."

"The Municipal is a lovely hotel, communal areas are fabulous, it is in a great location and was immaculate. We booked it for my birthday due to it being the only 5 star hotel in Liverpool and thought we would give it a try, we normally stay in the Titanic hotel, however I’m not really sure why it is classed as a 5 star hotel. "Great hotel in a very central location. Every staff member was so helpful, particularly reception staff. Loved the added extra of a complimentary. drinks reception at 6pm each evening"

"The reception was woefully understaffed for days and despite doing the best job they could the only two staff had to deal with all check ins checkouts luggage and advice for a full hotel. Queues down the street on two days to check in and check out. Staff wonderful; management appalling."
