"I would love to give 5 stars, the resort was nice, clean for the most part and food was good except for at The Mix, which we had to pay an extra $45 per person for as it was not included in our AI package. The resort as a whole was very short staffed which caused all staff to be over worked and most not so friendly. "The rooms were nice and the staff was friendly. However, we were disappointed in the food selections and restaurants. They did not have much of anything open for breakfast and all of the restaurants were small and full for dinner. When I asked others staying at resort they said the food wasn't that great. "Beautiful room … Royal Islander is an older resort but is definitely still amazing. First stayed here in 1989. Will return again. Daily housekeeping a plus. Only thing I dislike is using the small parking garage. Very tight spots and $8/day fee. "
