The air freshener in the room is a bit strong for my taste, but not a problem with some airing. On the whole I had a good experience and would stay there again."

The Stanyan Park Hotel is a perfect example, from the foyer, to the photographs on the walls tracing over a century of history, to the old-world style of the rooms. The staff at the front desk were always pleasant, on the way in or on the way out. It is right across the street from Golden Gate Park and a short walk to restaurants, and a good walk to the University...

"Maria at the front desk was very helpful, smiling and gave us a quieter room facing the courtyard. Hotel may look outdated from outside but well renovated inside. Rooms and common spaces were clean. Plenty of under and overground parking. Walking distance to shops, pier and restaurants. Arcades, games, vending machines, water station etc are also a plus."

"Such a great place in the city! You can’t beat the location and the staff is super terrific. They are very welcoming, helpful, lovely people… And, I was remembered from my last trip in January. Staying again now in March. I will be back."

"Good location, helpful receptionist, I stayed for 3 nights and Housekeeping never come. Bed was untouched, never change towels and never touch the trash. No small body lotion, I end up buying at next door market.poor insulation, I can hear load voices below us"

"La bañadera se llenaba de agua, no drenaba, la secadora de pelo no funcionaba, el parqueo súper pequeño e incómodo, tienen una nota que dice que no se hacen cargo por daño o robo a tus carros, la cafetera no tenia los utensilios necesarios para poder hacer un café, la oficina un desastre, bueno me fui al otro día, porque no me quedó más remedio que dormir esa noche ahí, les recomiendo que no vayan"
