"Late check in was handy, I arrived about 11pm as was the bar staying open until 2 am!! Air con was v.noisy so was left with choice of being boiling (with AC off), not being able to sleep because of noise, or opening the windows and listening to M5. I choose the second option."

"Stayed a few times now. Rooms are getting a bit tired however they are immaculately clean. The shower pressure leaves a bit to be desired. However the staff are soo helpful and friendly and always seem cheery! The beer garden in the hot weather is a big plus plus it has a children's play area. I do enjoy my stays here and the food is good too. Good value for money"

"King size bed which was a double Air con didn’t work Water pressure was awful and kept going from hot to cold Staff seemed to care but this was quickly shattered when I saw them joking about a customer after speaking to them. The breakfast was ok without any hot vegan options. Room service trays were left unattended outside rooms. "Stayed in the mews which was a side annex. Great good sized room along with good sized bathroom with powerful shower over a bath. Clean crisp bedding. Attentive staff Great stay"

"A very cosy & modern hotel in a quiet & secure location with the loveliest yet professional staff. Spent a night during the work trip, was a perfect place to unwind despite being on the warmest day of the year! Food from the Bistro was very good & the breakfast was Excellent with a wide range of quality choices. Highly recommend for work trip as well as short getaway. Will definitely visit for latter next time!"

"Hotel was clean and well maintained. Lovely grounds. Doesn’t have air conditioning but fans are provided. We had an issue as had booked twin rooms which I confirmed over 3 phone call but was assigned double rooms which the hotel did rectify but couldn’t done with out the hassle. Make sure you have written confirmation if you require twin rooms. Otherwise all good."

"Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just...

"Room was clean, staff were friendly, food was very good. I would have liked to have had a spa treatment, but none were available on the Saturday. Overall I think the hotel felt a little tired, but with some refurbishment and updating I think it could be an excellent hotel"

"We had a wonderful stay and the staff were incredibly accommodating. They were so helpful in arranging an early check-in for us and even found a room where we could get ready before attending a wedding, which made the whole day much less stressful. Everyone was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to help. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a great location. We really appreciated the excellent service and would happily stay here again."
