"Being from the hospitality industry, I am not easily wowed but I have to say, the staff and service was wonderful, genuine and warm. Clean rooms, comfy beds, all expected amenities working and I enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant. I stay here whenever I'm in the area as there's always a warm welcome."

"I was overall happy with the service I received & the cleanliness of the room. All the staff i encountered were very helpful & friendly. The only small criticism I have is that on my second day during breakfast, they ran out of pancakes. The pancakes were so delicious I was a bit frustrated, but I understand it wasn't the fault of staff directly."

"The rooms. at the Essex Golf and Country Club are very nice and super clean. Be aware there is no in-room ac that we could find and just the smallest desk fan in the room but perhaps this is only an issue for 3 weeks a year! We arrived late (9.30pm) and check was smooth, went to the room and unpacked and notice in the room directory suggested the bar was open until 10.30pm. We meander up only to be informed that last orders was at 10pm so we would only be permitted to purchase one drink. Then...

"Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. "Spa and pool were excellent used both . No air conditioning in our Deluxe room and the Dyson fan just didn’t help much at all . Shame really . Breakfast was good one day and not quite so good the next day ( different chefs they said ) . All staff at the 3 properties were really helpful especially the chauffeuse ."
