"Great location yet quiet as it is well back from the street i side a courtyard. Very nice cottages with kitchenette, loft, dining table and sitting area. The shared patio also has tables for sitting outside. As with much of Alfama be prepared for stairs to get up to the cottages."

"Great stay at a beautiful property in the center of Alfama. The beautifully appointed room with a view of the river, the courtyard, restaurant space with delicious morning breakfast, snacks and access to coffee and tea and water all day were absolute highlights for my stay. The street noise can be an issue especially during the day, but that seems to be a reflection of the busy location and central to all the beautiful vistas in Alfama. Loved my solo stay at the hotel and would return...

"This was one of my favorite stays! The staff were kind and helpful, rooms were spacious and clean, and the location was ideal. Breakfast was lovely and they provided a really nice breakfast box for us to take when we had plans earlier than 7:30. We really enjoyed the bathroom layout and the shower. My only small complaints were the limited and odd tv channels, and the towel rack being across the room from the shower."

"Although our reservation was changed prior to arrival from Residentas Aurea to Residentas Arco do Bandeira, the experience exceeded our expectations. This was truly one of the most beautiful apartments we have ever stayed in. The apartment was stylish, spacious, impeccably maintained, and thoughtfully designed with wonderful amenities that made the stay both comfortable and luxurious. The location was also outstanding — close to everything and perfect for exploring the city on foot....
