"I enjoyed my stay at Ellen Bay Inn. The staff were great and very accommodating. Feels like a family atmosphere. I think the only disadvantage (or could be an advantage in some cases) is it feels a bit “of the beaten path.” It would be challenging to get around with wheels but the staff offered me fairly priced transportation when I didn’t have a rental. Stingray city is within walking distance so that’s an option too. "

"The property is in a lovely location, very quiet a a peaceful - you really need a car as nowhere nearby to get supplies, it’s basic, but immaculate and with everything you need. Sharon was very helpful, but we sadly we were unable to meet Gabriela and Douglas on this occasion, we had read such glowing reviews about them. (I hope you are feeling better, and hopefully we may get to come again and meet you). Deep bay is a 20 min walk and is just gorgeous. "

This is highlighted in many of the negative reviews. If you are not comfortable walking an incline to get to your room, then this location might not be for you. "The beach is absolutely beautiful! The swimming pools are very nice. The grounds are very well maintained although there are areas that need to have outdoor lighting restored rather than abandonning the fixtures. Areas around the ground floor patios need refreshing. The staff is very friendly however service is slow. The resort is older but in general it is in reasonable repair. The rooms all need to be remodeled. There is no microwave, mini-refrigerator or in-room coffee. Overall our stay at...
