"I stayed in a smaller room. This is my 2nd visit. My only complaint is the pillows they are awful. Everything else is good. Staff super helpful, great easy parking. Nice touches like the fridge and coffee machine downstairs."

"This is a 5 star hotel and is away from the city centre. It’s quite a distance from the national express coach station but closer to the Flix Bus stop. It’s uphill from downtown and nobody knows where it is. We have asked 3-4 people to finally find the hotel behind a hill. The breakfast was more than we had asked for. It’s so fancy with all kinds of hot and cold food you can imagine. There’s mango purée, fresh berries juice, regular milk, yogurt, soy and oats milk, etc. It’s like having lunch...

"Very clean. Booked in for a week. Not hassled by usual hotel domestic staff to change towels etc. Only if asked did cleaners attend. Microwave / combi oven instructions were not clear, but I managed. Really comfortable bed, powerful shower."

"Staff really welcoming and pleasant. Rooms were perfect and clean. Plenty of extra air conditioning around the hotel due to extreme high temperatures. Quick check in and check out. Offered a glass of bubbly on arrival. Despite busy hotel and World Cup Football there was no noise so slept really well. Breakfast was lovely, great selection of food and juices. Perfect location and will definitely stay again."

"Clean hotel in good location with secure parking. One lift out of order but didn’t impact us too much. Air conditioning didn’t seem too effective and bathroom had a bad smell but staff were helpful and friendly"

"Late check in, staff left us waiting for a couple of minutes at the desk waiting to be attended to, we asked for a quiet room and the receptionist acknowledged this and gave us 2119 saying that it was at the far end of the corridor away from the lift and we were really pleased that our request had been acknowledged and catered for. We then discovered that it was actually the room closest to the lift. We went back doiwn and explained and the staff member realised that they didn't know the floor...

"Unfortunately we were put in a room that faces the road where there are ongoing roadworks. These went on all through the night, we gave up at 7 am and went for breakfast then headed straight home. The lorries were constantly back and forth with reversing alarms going. I have complained to premier inn but they accept no responsibility for placing guests in rooms while this work continues. Avoid Waterloo Street Birmingham for the time being."

"Perfect location! Quaint spot just outside of the city centre close to UoB. Sam and reception staff incredibly friendly. We could have chatted for hours if we didn't have an itinerary of things we needed to complete before the end of the day! Would definitely recommend a stay here."

"Friendly staff. Great sized rooms. Excellent breakfast. Unfortunately, property advertised as having air conditioning which is only available in the lobby areas. Rooms only have a type of climate control that does not help with extremes of weathers. They did signpost on arrival that all cooling systems were down which was unfortunate due to the heatwave present."
