"Unfortunately while this property is lovely the stay was very inconvenient and I wish I’d stayed in a hotel instead. Cos it’s not a hotel and therefore has no reception or left luggage facility I had to drag my bag around Bath for most of the weekend. Check in is at 3pm and, unlike a hotel, there was nowhere in the property to leave luggage. Check out was ludicrously early at 10am so I had to take my luggage with me then. "A hidden haven within a UNESCO busy tourist town. Escape the crowds by walking down a quiet street and into a tranquil and elegant hotel where the staff make a special effort for their guests. A daily pleasure to either soak in the hotel's hot spring pools or to complete the roman bath rituals and a guilty pleasure for this is a complimentary benefit to hotel guests (within the hours of 8-10 am and 7-9 pm). "Great hotel with charm and character right on the perimeter of the bath city center. Easy walk to all of the main attractions. Parking right on site which was great. Older hotel so no elevator or air conditioning, but full of charm and very nicely maintained."

"Well located (15 minute walk to the baths, and on several bus lines). Nice property, excellent breakfast. Our only issue was that our room (top floor) had a sloping ceiling that you have to be careful of to avoid bumping your head and which effectively reduces the useful space in the room."

"Hotel is located in the center of Bath and 12 minutes walk to Roman Bath. Walking to Jane Austen Center, circus or Royal Cresent all within 15 minutes. Room is well sized and tastefully decorated and sparkly clean. Have to mention that the bathroom was beautifully designed. "Spent one night here and wish it was more! Spotlessly clean, lovely big room and bathroom with view over Bath. Nice self serve bar and the breakfast was amazing. Will stay again when next in Bath."

"Clean rooms, comfortable bed, one of the few a/c rooms in the Cotswolds. Friendly, helpful staff and fantastic location. We walked to the thermal bath spa and had a wonderful soak the morning that we checked out. Staff was very accommodating and keeping our bags for the day."

"A very beautiful and unique hotel in a spectacular area just away from the tourist drag of Bath city center. The hotel has alot of character and period decor. Its an old hotel, so the heating was nit on, understandibly so as it was May. The plumbing is also not updated, so there is a hot tap and a cold tap at the sink. The facilities are adequate for a shorter stay. The hotel is being upgraded, so there was alot of noise above us for our 2 night stay. The staff are friendly and helpful."

"Everything about this stay was wonderful - from the building, to the room, the beds, and especially the service. Monica and her team were excellent - extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious and generous, and the location of this stay was ideal - close to nearly everything. A few notes: Be aware that there is no AC, so plan accordingly - though fans, lighter bedding and bottled water were provided. My only recommendation would be to add a small mini fridge to keep the water...

"Richard is a wonderful and generous host full of gentle attentions. His Grosvenor Villa has a great history that you will start discovering as soon as you enter the magnificent lobby. A nice 20 minutes walk to reach downtown Bath, it’s a central point to discover Stonehenge, Bristol, Cardiff and the charming villages of the Cotswold. We highly recommend it and we would we would return with so much pleasure!"
