"Lovely large room with a huge bed. Very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The bathroom also very spacious and has underfloor heating! Huge mirror with lightning and a radio. Our room also had a sink/kitchen area which was useful. The staff were helpful and friendly and we would not hesitate to stay again. Its very close to town centre and also has paid parking which is very convenient. "

"Standards seems to have gone down, quite a lot of dust around. The lift still being out of commission is a problem and doesn't seem to have been mentioned on the description. I believe this is a long term problem as the staff indicated that "spare parts" were no longer available. Very young staff and hit and miss service. Good position though."

"This is a lovely hotel the only thing that let it down was the evening meal . Every night choices on the menu weren’t available. We stayed 5 nights and the evening meals were disappointing. We asked to speak to the chef and were told that all the meals came in frozen except the steak and didn’t resemble a rump steak it was shaped like a jenga brick and grossly we were offer gravy which we had to pay extra for and it only came with a few chips and rocket with a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese. "The Yorkshire hotel is in a prime location a short walk to the main shops, theatre, restaurants and attractions. We found the breakfast to have a wide choice and probably the best hotel breakfast we've had for a long time. The room was clean but felt a litte tight for space, so we'd pay a little bit more for a larger room next time.
