Very nice hotel

Solo trip, single room

Fab overnight stay before going to airport.. excellent location for Victoria literary minutes to walk so close to all main attractions if you enjoy walking..only down fall is the lifting of my luggage up 4 floors... but this does not affect my lovely stay.. thank you

Fireworks delight

Very courteous staff who couldn’t do enough, the biggest tip, new yr eve, book a suite on top floor, we opened the curtains to a fantastic surprise, a perfect view of the London eye, Big Ben and the fireworks

Rigtig godt ophold og rengøring.

Rigtigt godt ophold generelt. Morgenmaden var simpel og uden English breakfast. Rengøring dagligt og rigtig fint niveau på renheden på værelser og toilet. Eneste kritik punkt var, at brandalarmen vlev aktiveret 2 gange over vores 3 dages ophold uden at der blev givet anvisninger om at det var falsk alarm!

Lovely decor and very clean. I booked a single room which was small but had everything you needed for a short stay. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was modern and well fitted. The only downside was that it was on the 4th floor with no lift which could be challenging if you had heavy luggage

Convenient to local transport. Well decorated

The decor was very cute. The hotel is very close to Victoria Station, providing many transportation options, even to the airport. The staff was very friendly. The room was a bit small, but that was expected coming from America. The only comment is that they needed to dust behind the TV; otherwise, the room was well-kept and clean.

Property was perfect for our last night stay in London. The room we stayed in was nicely updated and clean. The fact that we had a queen 2 single beds was unique a good for a family with 2 kids who didn't want to share a bed. Hotel held luggage before check-in. About a 10 minute walk from Victoria Station with trains, tube, and buses in a quiet neighborhood. Was perfect for our purposes.

Fin beliggenhed, tæt på Undergrund. Et roligt område. Meget imødekommende personale. Vi havde booket inkl. morgenmad, hvilket var virkelig skuffende. Det bestod af en papirspose, man hentede i receptionen og skulle spise på værelset. Meget små værelser og badeværelser.

Perfect location

The Portico hotel was lovely, nicely presented. Room was perfect for what we needed somewhere to sleep. Comfy with everything you need. Nice having tea and coffee facilities in room and although we didnt use it was nice to see a safe to use if you were staying for a longer time. Reception was very welcoming and polite when we arrived and also when we came back from an evening out. Hotel was nicely decorated and in a super location. Took ys only 15/20 mins to walk to Buckingham Palace and 2/3 mins walk to Victoria Station. Lots of restaurants and bars within a 5 min walk, nice atmophere in the evening times in the area. Would stay here again and would recomend.

This room had all we wanted for our family of four in summer in London; 3 beds and aircon. Thankfully the family room is only one floor up. The hotel is a lot further away from Victoria Station than what I had expected. And 5-10min. walk to restaurants and pubs, but because of this the area is super quiet.

Very nice room, appeared recently refurbished. Clean, nice decor, plenty of towels etc. Very comfortable bed. Bathroom good. Big TV. All communal areas very attractive . Staff friendly, easy check in. Very good value for central London. Pay by phone or app parking bays nearby, free after 6.30pm . Short walk to Victoria station, theatres, Tate gallery etc. Thoroughly recommend The Portico. Will come again.

Harry Potter vacation with my daughter

I went with my daugher to celebrate her 11:th birthday and visit The making of Harry Potter. The location of the hotel was perfect with walking distance to most of the other places we wanted to se as the Buckingham Palce, Hyde Park etc. The bustour to Harry Potter in Watford was only a couple of minutes from the hotel and also Victoria Station from where we came (from the airport with Gatwick express). The staff was very kind (didn't wish her happy birthday though....) The room was very clean! but SO small... we couldn't walk a round the beds we had to climb over them to get to the bathroom, also extremely small but very clean, great shower. So very clean, very friendly, perfect located but extremely small room.
