"The room was clean the second day I found a bug/cockroach in the closet and I texted them in there WhatsApp messages and they said tomorrow they will look into it. The next day I took the cleaning lady she said she will report it and didn’t even clean the room. I called front deak and said let me see what we can do they switch us rooms and was way better it even felt nicer I think they just sent us to a corner room become we are yung. And the streets near buy smell very bad and if you open the window the smell comes in super strong "

"I had such a wonderful solo getaway at Riu Palace Las Americas. It’s such a fun place whether you want to chill by the pool or relax on the beach. The buffet was super tasty, and as a dairy-free pescatarian, I felt like I had plenty of options, which I really appreciated. The staff was also incredibly kind. Since I was staying by myself, I felt very safe — the staff even called my room every night to make sure everything was okay. That meant a lot. It was truly the perfect low-budget getaway with a high relaxation payoff. I especially loved spending my days at the beach, and Isai provided the best service — he was running around in the heat and always there when I needed a piña colada! The only thing I’ll mention is that guests wake up early to reserve beach chairs with towels. I was fine since I was by myself and got to the beach around 8 AM, but if you’re coming with others and want a prime beach spot, they can be harder to get. There were a few towel-reserved spots next to me where people didn’t show up until noon (and I was there at 7/8). I understand there’s not much the staff can do about that, but it was a little surprising to see. Other than that, there were no hiccups at all — it was a great stay. Thank you to the Riu team for such a relaxing and enjoyable trip!"

"Rating: 4.8/5 ​Our stay at Live Aqua Cancun was fantastic. The pool layout is excellent, offering a perfect balance between a lively swim-up bar and designated quiet areas for relaxation. I cannot stress this enough: the resort is kept immaculately clean. The staff across the board were friendly, and the food was consistently wonderful. ​For those considering an upgrade, we booked through the VIP Club, and the club staff and butlers were exceptional—they truly elevated the experience. ​Areas for Improvement ​While our trip was nearly perfect, there are two things to keep in mind: ​Corporate Event Interference: Occasionally, the hotel hosts events for outside companies that can intrude on the guest experience. During our stay, a pool and the hot tub were closed to accommodate private parties. It would be better if these were hosted in areas that close earlier (like the swim-up bar at 6:00 PM) to avoid displacing guests from facilities that stay open until 7:00 PM. ​Nightlife Scale: The onsite nightclub and bars are fun but significantly smaller than what you might find at other major resorts. This didn't negatively impact my trip, but it’s worth noting if high-energy dancing is a priority for your itinerary. Beach cleanup fee: The hotel charges a 5 dollar clean up fee for the beach. ​Overall Verdict: I highly recommend Live Aqua for its service and atmosphere. I would definitely return! Also make sure to go to MB for habanero soup. "
