"Prison cell sized rooms at full Hilton prices. Not kidding, the rooms are so small you can't walk past the bed without turning sideways. The sink is in the hall, not the bathroom. No place to store anything. There's no place to put your luggage. The neighboorhood is sketchy, bums sleeping on the sidewalks. Don't go out after dark. Most mornings the hot water runs out. This is the closest hotel to the Universities, but still would be better to take a car/subway from further south."

"We encountered several cockroaches in the room, including one that crawled over my head during the night. The blankets were quite thin. And in the shower it took a very long time for the water to get hot. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and helpful. When we arrived the front desk helped us to sort out our parking situation in a very hands-on and helpful way."

"The air con makes some noise if that bothers you , and the beds are just good not super . But the staff are really nice. The doormen are really nice and helpful . It’s a nice suite we had a delux king suite . For the money it’s a bit expensive because it’s old and they should buy mattress pads for the beds to make them more comfy . The pillows are great . The sheets are soft . It’s a great location for restaurants etc .ive stayed there twice . I’d probably go back because when i needed to...

"If you ask for early checking in at 1 p.m. instead of 4, and you pay the $75+ fee, you will most likely still wait an additional 40-50 minutes to get in even though they ask you what time you would be there."

"Website touted free breakfast as “a rarity” in NYC. At check in we were provided a card for free coffee and a pastry from the coffee stand in lobby. Coffee stand staff said we could only have coffee. Website shd be corrected to accurately represent that you only get a cup of coffee for breakfast. Bathtub needed replacement or scrubbing. Bed linen was very crisp and clean. Thank you! But not enough to keep one warm at night."

"Everything about our experience was pretty good. The room was clean and AC worked will but was a bit loud. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and shower worked well. Coffee maker in the room was better than the coffee at breakfast. Fridge froze everything we put in it. Parking was a bit tight, but worked fine for $40 a night. "Good location with subway close to getting in and out of the city. Had everything we needed in a room for 3 people but it was fairly noisy with people arriving and leaving at all times and there was no lifts so people were loud getting luggage down the stairs. The neighbourhood was fairly safe but had a fair amount of homeless people as most city’s would."
