"The staff was very attentive. They have a laundry room. They don’t serve breakfast nor they have an indoor restaurant. This is a very good hotel just not as impressive as the one in Tokyo or the Ryokan in Hakone."

"Quiet, large room, close to transport and a short walk to all the great food spots in Pontocho alley and Nishiki Market. Can also walk to Yasaka Shrine and Kiyomisu-Dera. Room had a washing machine but no dryer, there was however a drying rack. Would stay here again. Staff helped us with transferring our luggage and were always helpful."

"The location was the only thing that helps this hotel , walkable distance to the water temple and the streets of Gion, the incline is a bit steep but doable just take your time. The hotel was not very clean, had to do my usual wipe test and got a lot of dirt and stains with my wipes. You have to ask for extra pillows because they give you a baby crib pillow by default. The bathrooms are very small and feel like porta potties because of how detached they feel from the rest of the room. The beds...

"Everything was very smooth! A bit small but we didn’t mind. It had all the essentials as well as a washing machine (the drying process was a bit traditional but again we didn’t mind) and the receptionists (especially Hiro) were very accommodating and amazing! We would absolutely stay here again in the future as it is in a very convenient location"

The room design was well planned such that we had a double hand basin area with a bath and shower in a separate room and the toilet in a separate room again. "Hotel is quite pretty, we enjoyed our stay here. Room felt small but quaint. Some rooms have no windows (our room was one of these). Bathroom felt spacious and modern. Hotel has laundry (free) and simple spa services that can be booked. Location is very good, walking distance from a few large temples in Kyoto, with good bus connectivity to many of the other key / well known attractions in Kyoto."

"初日は雨でしたが2日目には上がり 目的だった素晴らしいお庭を堪能する事が出来ました。 鯉のぼりが風にたなびく中、桜が終わった後の新緑が美しく、シャガや菖蒲…奥の竹林には若竹が伸びている姿を発見し、移りゆく日本の四季を感じる事が出来嬉しかったです。つがいの鳩、雀、シラサギ…水の音も心地良く、心満たされました。 レストランなどのサービスに関しましては 個人の見解ではありますが日本のきめ細やかなサービスと言うよりは、海外でのサービス、と感じました。 とは言え施設、お料理、アメニティなど素晴らしく、何よりお庭を目当てにまた伺いたいと思いました。 ありがとうございました。"

"This was in a great location, close to lots of great things to do. But the street traffic was loud, the construction across the street was loud, the sound of other residents in other rooms was loud. Our room was the double bunk beds and the beds were very creaky and loud. Every motion in the upper bunk created a lot of noise for sleeping below. Sleeping with all the surrounding noise was very challenging "
