"We did enjoy our stay at Harbour Heights, although parts of the hotel feel a little tired and in need of some updating. Unfortunately, some members of staff could also benefit from further customer service training, as at times we felt more like an inconvenience than valued guests. "Still the best place to stay in Poole. Shower was awesome, enough room to get a rugby union team in!!! Great location near the restaurants on the Quay and a ten minute walk from the train station. Deluxe Room was very spacious and had an iron bath in the corner!! However, mattress was too soft and the pillows too 'fluffy'. Just a personal note, but we needed hard mattresses and 'dull' pillows. "This felt like an hotel in decline. The communal spaces were brightly lit even in the evening and therefore there was no atmosphere. The corners of the shower were not sealed properly and had black deposits in them. The bathroom lights kept flickering and although a maintenance person made several attempts to change bulbs, and thought he had solved the problem, after a while they started again. One of the only two lifts kept failing forcing those of us who could, to use the stairs. The...
