"The room was great. It was clean and had what we needed. Remember, if traveling to Japan, bring your own top flat sheet, if you use it. They don't usually have at hotels in Japan. The area was nice. You need to go up a flight of stairs to get to reception, but they are friendly and will help with your luggage. They also provide amenities near reception, in case you forgot any toiletries. "

"A great location to explore Kyoto. We had the Bamboo Room (Take) which was huge, more than enough space for the average family with two bedrooms. The kitchenette was useful, and the washer-dryer in the room was a convenient surprise in the middle of our holiday! The breakfast option is outsourced and whilst convenient there are other options nearby. "

"We loved the staff and hospitality at Momijiya. My husband said it felt like we were staying at our grandma's house. We loved the ryokan experience as well. We really felt we were getting a more intimate Japanese experience. The food really put us Americans out of our comfort zone, but we wouldn't have wanted it any other way. Our rooms were quaint with nice view, and the comforters on our futons were incredible comfortable. Like sleeping inside a warm cloud. This is a great spot to feel...
