"Really enjoyed our stay. PROS: - Very nice, very clean property - Excellent service from bell boy and house keeping - Loved our room, very spacious (Rm #1) - Comfortable bed - Plenty of hot water for showers - Bottled waters every day - Great shampoo, conditioner, body wash CONS: -We stayed in room #1, which was right by the bakery door and one of the resteraunt doors. It wasn't an issue until Friday night when loud people were leaving the resteraunt (We go to bed early). -You can't really open a window or the blinds in room #1, since everyone walking through courtyard/ in and out of bakery/hotel can see right in. - The hotel does not have a business center. Of course, it was the one time my husband needed to use an actual computer. But. There was a library just up the street. - Most of the rooms do not have air conditioning. Ours did, but it did not work too well. - No coffee in the room (you could order room service), but had bakery/coffee for purchase right outside the door."

"Breakfast is awesome. Smoothies, great healthy variety of foods. Love the breakfast at this place. Very relaxing and great start to the morning. "

"We loved the spacious room and location of the hotel. The breakfasts delivered to the room was fresh and healthy and good. The staff was very friendly and let us have an early check in. I’d have given the hotel 5 stars but it does need a bit of a facelift."

"Romms are very small for &1,300 per day. Noise is unbearable. Large wedding party without advising the prospective guests. Noise from other rooms is loud. Very late check in. Ocean views are very far and small."

"All the inns in Carmel are converted motels - do lower your expectations to start with. This one in particular was so old the walls were paper thin and construction was happening across the street and we stayed in a unit on the corner of an intersection- so we got zero sleep most of the night. There were cobwebs in the corner of the room, no AC- so you have to open the windows- letting in more noise. The bathroom is tiny tiny tiny and old pink tile. Not sure there’s a better option in town but this wasn’t it. It was a close walk to town and the popular hogs breath restaurant. Parking was also tiny- very small spots to hold about 8 cars. "

"Have going to this place for about 25 years. We go for the location and, generally, pretty good prices LOTS of steps and stairs to navigate, so if you have any back, knee, sight, or age related struggles; it’s very tough to get to and from room For young, or folks with nothing slowing them down, it’s a good place. Owner, Mike, is nice guy We’ve realized, for us, it’s run its course. We come to Carmel a couple times a year, but will go elsewhere next time"
