"This was recommended to us by our tour guides in Japan and it is a fantastic hotel. The food in the restaurant caters to every background and everything we tried was delicious. The hotel is older but has heritage and a great vibe because of it, and is very clean. The service was excellent as well. I went for a run one morning in the surrounding area and it is very quiet and enjoyable for a morning run or walk. Highly recommended in a very quiet "town" of Hakone."

"Very cheap with private indoor and outdoor onsen. You will need to reserve but it’s very easy. Location is 20 minute walk from the tram or 5 minute walk from bus station. Very far up in the mountains will be very expensive taxi I would recommend taking bus or tram. Facility is not the cleanest and rooms aren’t the nicest but the price is very good for what you get. Only major complaint is the pillows which are just bags with rice lol."

"We had the room with the private onsen. It was amazing. The quality of the service was great in every area that comes to mind. Both dining and breakfast buffet were incredibly good. Lots of options for every taste. Would definitely repeat and recommend to friends."
