"Beautiful property located in Alfama (old part of town). Hosts are lovely and very accommodating. We arrived late and Olinda, who is just wonderful, let us in. Hilarious and warm, we felt right at home. The home has everything you need, the shower was fantastic after a long day of walking around. The courtyard is lovely, we ate breakfast there everyday. Speaking of breakfast, couple of really nice coffee / pastry shops at walking distance (Fora, Augusto). Tram 28 stop very close to the location....

"We had a wonderful time at Antiga Casa Pessoa. We came in July, so it was a little hot, but the staff made a real effort to make it enjoyable and comfortable. Realmente adoramos, fica próximo ao Castelo de São Jorge, próximo a Praça do Comércio, a Catedral da Sé, a Igreja de Santo António (local de nascimento dele), realmente indico demais este hotel. Watch out for rooms facing the inner courtyard as this is where the restaurant is located and they play music from 07:30 until 22:30 - just don't do it - it's loud, affects your travellers who are on business and trying to sleep and also disturbs generally. "I would not recommend this hotel and would not book again! We were dropped off at what says is the location and the hotel is not to be seen ! It is down a very dirty back alley which is not good at night at all it’s is very cobbled with big holes! No taxi will take you down the alley to the street nor pick you up !!!! I felt very unsafe and that was on arrival in the day light. I requested an early check in in advance of possible but this did not happen. The pool is very dangerous with no side...
