"The double room was spacious. The bathroom had a deep tub as well as a shower. The beds were very comfortable. On checkout day, they held our bags so we could continue enjoying the city. Would definitely stay here again!"
"We really enjoyed our stay at the James Bay Inn. We stayed in a "Garden Area Suite," which is a smaller building situated directly next to the main inn. The multi-room suite was clean and quiet and really big. Our only regret was that we could only stay for a single night. While there are mostly homes in the blocks directly surrounding the inn, it is convenient to both the wharf and downtown (about 15-20 minutes walk to either) and Beacon Hill Park (about two blocks away). "Once we had negotiated a move to an upstairs apartment we did have the advertised partial ocean view. Not sure a ground floor would have worked. That said it’s a stunning property with fabulous views from the restaurant which will be improved once the patio enclosure work is completed. Great ambience and directly on the pacific rim trail. Apartments are very large and thoughtful touches like including laundry detergents are welcome. "
"advised the reception; 1 point of concern ( from someone who has designed and BUILT many resort hotels!) arrived lte and jumped into a quick shower BUT the residue if soap/cleaner on the shower base made it VERY slippery and treacherous ! No grab rails, no rubber mat- this could be a problem... shower base caulking also mildewed and failing ... otherwise nice stay!
