"Hotel Metropolitan was wonderful to stay in for our 2 week Japan trip. The staff were very polite and helpful. The refurbishment they have had is wonderful, the bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and it was everything we needed. It was helpful that there was a Muji restaurant connected with out hotel as it meant we could easily have a buffet breakfast. The location was great and we had a wonderful time."

"We had a great stay at this 100-year-old Japanese home. The mix of traditional architecture and modern updates was impressive, and the house was clean, comfortable, and easy to settle into. Tadao, the host was very responsive and made communication a pleasure. We only wished we had booked a longer stay. Would definitely recommend a relaxing stay directly across the rd from the beach. "It's an absolutely beautiful historic Japanese home in a relatively quiet neighborhood. It's a great way to escape the business of the bigger cities for a couple days. Check in was easy and friendly. The train station is only a 5 minute walk away and they have a Family Mart about a 5-10 minute walk away. The beach is also only a 10-15 walk away so this is a very conveniently located hotel. It is a traditional Japanese home though so don't expect comfy king size beds, tvs, couches or much...
