"The staff at the reception and breakfast were welcoming and accommodating. Unfortunately the property was old and looks difficult to maintain and the initial room given to us smelt mouldy setting off my hay fever and partners asthma. Reception quickly gave us another room which was better. Shower and breakfast was nice and the stay was overall pleasant."

"The Jug & Bottle is a really well run establishment. Attention to detail in all things they do is a joy to experience. Our room was very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices and high quality. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Our evening meal could not be bettered. The menu was varied with a wide range of choices and the wine list excellent. Delicious food and wine and very good value as indeed was the cost of our two night stay....

"What a fabulous stay. Downtown Chester with parking; the location is excellent - less than 5 minutes walk to the Cathedral. The hotel itself is spotless with a really modern yet classical style. Amenities are good (eg premium coffee and tea - and biccies) and the bed was super comfortable. Reception staff friendly and helpful.
Quiet rooms, good size with comfy bed.
Wouldn’t recommend the off site parking that’s recommended by the hotel, very tight parking spaces.

"Ba Ba guest house Chester was a superb find. I stayed for 2 nights whilst doing the marathon. A very big single room, everyone provided & a very comfy bed. The breakfast was excellent. An easy walk to the city centre & a 30 minute walk to the race course.
The owners were really friendly & helpful with car parking.
I would definitely recommend this guest house if you want a quiet comfortable stay close to all amenities."
