"Overall, the property was very good. Room was updated and clean, parking was nearby, and breakfast was OK. Negatives included no onsite admin staff and difficulty opening the room door. (The electronic lock behaved inconsistently and differed from the instructions.) Pricing was competitive so we'd probably stay there again."

"The young man managing the location was excellent. He made us feel so at home and was interested in how we were doing. We also loved his dog, Percy. He recommended the restaurant in the hotel and we had an amazing three course dinner. He is truly a special person and many people will return to the hotel because of him."

"The staff was welcoming and accommodating. Ample parking. Beautiful views. A nice hot tub and sauna within a short walk. Nice, clean, and spacious rooms. We enjoyed our short stay."

"My only complaint is limited food options. The main restaurant (Paradox grille?) was okay, but didn’t live up to the resort quality for the price charged. The BBQ buffet we had at the other restaurant (Entrada) the next day was superb."

"This hotel is walkable to town, has a swimming pool and a hot tub & continental breakfast. The staff is delightful & kind on check in and with my questions. As I checked out the nice guy behind the desk said do you want a water bottle for the road I said yes, and it had a candy bar taped to it. Silly but wonderful. My room was ready early. "Very charming place to stay. Super clean and well maintained. Perfect location in the village. Staff was wonderful. You get access to the Hyatt pool, gym, hot tub, steam room and sauna which was a super valuable perk. I would strongly recommend staying there."

"I absolutely loved staying at the Ponderosa Lodge over the Labor Day weekend. It is very conveniently located only 1 mile from the Rocky Mountain State Park entrance and a short drive from the downtown Estes Park. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hot tub is set up above the river. The rooms are beautifully decorated with original mountain style furniture and touches. It is a gorgeous property and I highly recommend it for solo travelers, couples or families with the kids."
