"The staff were cordial. The breakfast was ok, a standard British breakfast. The room smelled terribly musty, especially in the bathroom. The small electric fan was filthy. We stayed for a week and they never serviced or cleaned our room. We had to ask for clean towels. I won’t stay there again. "

"We checked in late night, sadly they have no room for the type of room that I have paid. I paid for executive room and the manager said that they are overbooked hence, can only give me a standard room (thats the only room left for that day). "Excellent location. Good attentive staff. Great breakfast. But the room design is wanting. Black separate shower and toilet are dark. Water is coming out of the shower and the floor is moldy and swallen. So, the washroom door jams. Overall design is somewhat pretentious but with unnecessaryly reduced space and functionality. Would have been better with more conventional simpler approach. Overall recommended though."

"The Rubens is a fantastic hotel. We only stayed one night, but will definitely stay there upon return to London. The location cannot be beat, only a block or two from Buckingham Palace. The staff absolutely could not have been nicer or more accommodating. They really were fantastic!!
The room was comfortable. We had a view of the Royal Mews. Breakfast was amazing. I really cannot say enough nice things about the hotel. Highly recommend!"

"Although our room was spartan in decoration, the staff were exceedingly friendly, kind, and accommodating. I would have liked a bit more storage space and two bottles of water rather than one. The rooms were made up quickly. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. The bar had a tremendous selection and a knowledgeable bartender. Also, the food was very tasty. The concierge was a miracle worker. I recommend staying at this hotel."

"We stayed in room 922, while a lovely spacious quiet room, there were a few issues. Green flashing light above bed, which goes off all through the night. Asked reception 3 times to sort, eventually they covered this. The access door to the room, whenever opened it made a air sooking noise that we could hear - staff/guests opened this door for no reason. It would be good if a sign was on saying no access etc. We had to ask for the tea/coffee/milk to be replenished as it was not done so...
