"The staff were very courteous at check in and check out. The flat was mostly clean and comfortable. The flat was in a good location for us. However, it was rundown and needs to be re-painted, a lot of marks on the walls. One of the towels had a big hair ball in it. The shower had a lot of rust all over it from top to bottom. The toilet is in the corner and it’s not easy to sit properly on it if you’re a bigger person. I think the flat needs to be refurbished. "

"No Parking close by to drop off luggage. Treacherous, steep downhill path through a park to take several heavy suitcases. Incredibly poor communication from the property, who in the first instance did not respond for over a week to our request for an early check in. e repeatedly asked host for check in details,and we eventually got them on the day of check in only 15 minutes before scheduled (normal) check in time, at which time we were already at the weddding of my daughter, having travelled...

"Edwina is a fantastic host and lovely to get to know. West End Lodge is in a nice location and there are plenty of different restaurants within a fifteen-minute drive or a five minute walk. The Lodge is also well placed for trains to London or a short distance from Hampton Court. We would definitely stay here again on our next visit to the area."

"A lovely young girl served and checked us in. The room was very clean and tidy. We had a delicious full English breakfast which included orange juice, tea and coffee. Great stay and would recommend this place for the pub and the stay over!!!"

"The hotel felt old in a good way, but the rooms - and especially the bathrooms - were up to date and beautifully maintained. We enjoyed lovely breakfasts in the sunny dining room and we left agreeing that the Alexander Pope was a hotel we would happily return to. It's also very convenient to central Twickenham and the 490 bus took us everywhere we needed to go."
