1. Good Memories Lodge

Sao Pedro

Alles was tiptop,, bedankt."

7. Apartamentos Taberna

Kota Tua Funchal

"The apartment was huge and beautiful. It had everything one would need. A full kitchen with all the wine and beer glasses. Two bedrooms with lovely decor. A large bathroom and a separate laundry room. The check-in was on me. We arrived early and the apartment wasn't ready. We left our bags safely with the restaurant, locked up and explored until the apt was ready. There is a lovely view of the ocean from the apartment bedrooms. The only down side of the apartment is that it is on a...

"The property is located in a wonderful area. The views were beautiful. What I didn’t like about this property is that it was dirty. The towels were dirty the bathroom was dirty the kitchen was dirty the floors were filthy. This property is also located above a bar that had people hanging out until four am. They were screaming and yelling. I would not recommend this place if you want to have a peaceful stay."

12. Alegria Flats by An Island Apart

Funchal

"Very good sized apartment in a good location, within walking distance to the marina, old town, restaurants and a nearby shopping centre with a supermarket. Simple check in process via a door code. Very quiet in the evenings. The shower is large but due to the set up the water does spill over as there is no shower door. The apartment got warm which was ok in April with the plug in fan but would likely be too hot in the summer with no air con"

"Really awful management, had to cancel our stay due to a medical emergency. Had asked management for a letter of cancellation or no show for my insurance policy and they’ve ignored all requests and have refused to provide evidence which means we can’t even go through the travel insurance to get some of the money back. Really disgraceful service and would advise to stay away from booking with such an awful company due to the lack of general help."

18. Apartamentos Praça Amarela

Funchal

"There were several areas that were not cleaned and were very dirty. For example the bathroom area: when the fan was on, large chunks of dirt fell on our heads repeatedly. The hairdryer was so dusty and dirty as well as the TV remote control with chunks of dried food on it. Some of the plates and cups were also dirty. The floor was not cleaned and there were dust and hair visible in some areas in between kitchen and living space "
