"Great property on the water with nice grounds and sitting areas. Staff was friendly and helpful. Couple great breakfast options snd saw a restaurant and bar with live music within a block of the hotel. Fantastic walking trail about 5 minutes away too. Would definitely return. "

"This charming property is family owned, quaint, clean. The owners take great care of this hotel and it's guests. Sundown Inn's location is convenient to many restaurants, bars, and shops. "We visited Morro Bay for a birthday weekend Nd decided on Ascot Suites. I splurged a little and chose the "Tower" suite with king bed, fireplace and huge bathroom shower! It's clean, well-lit and the view of Morro Rock was beautiful. Second floor also gave us a front row seat at the tornado warning headed our way. It was great drama unfolding but alas, a tornado didn't come. Just heavy rain and gusts of wind. Kinda romantic to see holding my baby by the fireplace. Check-in/out was a breeze. We...

"Lovely little room, super cozy with the fireplace! Everything was clean and worked great. Late check-in directions were clear and staff were helpful. Breakfast is no longer done on site but uses vouchers to area cafes. It was a perfect place to stay, hope to visit again!"

"This has become our favorite place to stay in Morro Bay. It is small, comfortable, nicely appointed, and the location cannot be beat. One short block from the shops and restaurants along the Embarcadero. Easy walk around downtown. Across the street from Dorn's Breakers Cafe, our favorite restaurant. Manager is friendly and hires good people. The view rooms are upstairs, but beware there's no elevator. If you want something casual, not too expensive, with a great location, the Landing is it! "

"Perfect inn stay right next to Morro Rock also called the "Gibraltar of the Pacific. Walkable within blocks to restaurants, coffee shops and the scenic walk that borders the Ocean.
