"Beautiful, serene, and peaceful location with clean and spacious rooms. Friendly and responsive staff. Daily breakfast was fantastic! Only downside was a bit of a musty smell in our room but that is to be expected in such humid environment. Overall, magical stay!"

"The breakfast was so good at Geckos! Scott and Charlie are the best!! Our villa at the lodge was beyond our expectations. It was beautiful, clean and very spacious. Our private pool was amazing. After a long day of hiking it was perfect with a glass of wine since we had a full kitchen. Laundry was $15 like people said in other reviews for a huge bag of dirty clothes. I came home tonight with hardly anything to wash. Having clean clothes in luggage when coming home is the best. The location couldn’t have been better!! Pura Vita!! Sincerely, Katie"

"We were in the property during August and it was raining almost everyday so couldn’t enjoy the full amenities but the hotel was very nice. Early morning we saw Coaties outside our room one day and peccaries the next day which was our highlight."

"stayed in the sunrise room: really exceptional. It is a wonderful hotel, but overall, falling too much in love as to how fancy it is. Case in point: the Celajes Restaurant. Gorgeous sunset views. Wonderful starter. Then came the 40$ filet. Worst filet I ever had. It was chewy, rather than melting in your mouth as it should. Told the waiter ( more politely), who brought the chef. Rather than receiving an apology, I got a lecture and was made to pay the entire bill. Perhaps I was too polite? Anyways, can‘t fully recommend it at that price. Get of your horse, Hotel Belmar! It is a shame, because all the employees are trying so hard. Ah, also, the sunrise room is truly fantastic. But it creaks and rumbles when the wind is blowing outside. I didn’t mind, but some may find that disconcerting."

"This stay was incredible. From our balcony, we watched spider monkeys, capuchins, toucans and humming birds. The rooms were comfortable with air conditioning, and Veronika made us excellent towel animals every day! We were made to feel very special on our honeymoon. Breakfast was exceptional, with great service from Antonio. Dinner was equally great quality, and affordable! We enjoyed cocktails by the pool throughout our stay. We were able to get an Uber on a Monday night into La Fortuna with a very short wait, and an uber back was easy too - each ride cost around £3/$4. I’d highly recommend Ti-Fakara lodge. It was a really special place, right next to incredible nature and wildlife, with attentive and genuine staff. We loved our stay!"
