"Very clean accommodating hotel but unfortunately in the morning there was no hot water for a shower our friends in room 611 also didn’t have hot water they did call to reception who sent someone up with 2 bottles of water……random!! When we checked out we reiterated that there was no hot water in our rooms for a shower which we obviously needed after a long day out. The receptionist was apologetic but we still feel that this was not good enough a hot water shower is essential in a hotel stay."

"Room lovely but not well sound proofed and the corridor noise seemed v loud.
Great location, lovely decor.
We stayed for a very short time and didnt use bar or eat. However we asked if breakfast was still available at 9.55 and the staff said "I dont think so". They could have asked chef, before dismissing our query, so that left us feeling less pleased with our stay. We had a gorgeous brekky at the Anglers by the lock, so if you miss the 10am deadline try there 🙂"

"We checked in late night, sadly they have no room for the type of room that I have paid. "Breakfast is good in terms of quality and variety. Opens at 6:30 is just early enough for us to start some of our day excursions.

"Our room was nice, clean and everything was recently renovated. Our room was upgraded to a bigger room with 2 beds. The bathroom was spacious. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was helpful and friendly.

"Easy check-in, the rooms are comfortable and clean. Not so sure about the glass shielded shower/toilet area as it doesn’t give you much privacy and it’s a tight squeeze to dry yourself off. The bed is on the hard side but this doesn’t prevent a good night’s sleep. Aircon seemed to be a bit hit and miss and I couldn’t get a good signal on the TV. Very minor criticisms, though, and I’d definitely stay again."
