"The Inn is filled with charm and warmth. Felt like I was in someone’s home. Our suite was on the 2nd floor, and was spacious, bright and clean. The bed was super comfortable. Well located to walk to restaurants. Jake the manager was friendly and always available to answer questions. Free parking was a great addition to an easy and enjoyable stay."

"The Ironclad Inn was a welcome respite on a long drive while relocating. The beds were very comfortable, linens were beautiful, and the Inn itself was gorgeous and very well maintained. There are many restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the neighborhood is very quiet and quaint. The best part was that knowing that we had an early start and would miss breakfast, Sarah prepared smoothie bowls with fresh fruit and granola for us to take with us. "Warning: A LOT of steps! The guest rooms are on several levels—definitely not handicap-friendly. We have done several B&Bs over the years and always enjoyed great breakfasts and meeting the innkeepers and other guests. While breakfast was good and made to order, the “charm” we’ve enjoyed in the past was missing. The decor was very eclectic—no real theme other than filling up a very large facility. "The owner, Claudia, was amazing. So helpful and kind. Parking in back was much appreciated, breakfast was freshly made, delicious and served in one of the beautifully decorated common areas. The room was comfortable and clean. The mansion is pre Civil War and furnished accordingly with antiques. If you're looking for modern hotel amenities you will be disappointed, but if you're looking for charm, warmth and a gracious host, you will love Ragland Mansion. Pet friendly as a welcome bonus!"
