"For the last 2 times we were checked in by a staff member who was not customer service or caring at all!! Very cold and not willing to help in any way. The first time we had 4 suitcases to take to our room and outside the hotel there was an airport trolley. My husband loaded it and as we passed the desk were told we couldn’t take it to the room. "Fantastic location. Ideal for what we needed but also really rural-feeling and peaceful. We found it quiet and charming. We enjoyed wandering in amongst the old orchard and down through the copse, across the scrubland that forms part of the floodplain of the Tyne. It was good to know there are badgers around although we weren’t lucky enough to see anyway. The dawn chorus was impressive. Very pleasant indeed. Definitely will book again if we’re back in the area. "
