"As a family with young children (3yrs and an infant) we loved our stay! Having the lodge amenities- breakfast, beach toys, the lodge atmosphere with being able to have a beverage while the children read books and relaxed in the lodge was truly lovely. The ease of access to these things made it more enjoyable. Our cabin was exactly as advertised however it was quite dusty with abundant cobwebs in the bedroom, behind the curtains and kitchen area. "I was quite disappointed with the lodge. I made a reservation at 2:00 p.m. for the same evening, and when I arrived, I still had not received the code to access the room. There was no one there to welcome us, and fortunately we happened to meet other guests who were able to contact the person responsible for check-in on our behalf. "The room was clean. The cupboard doors were sagging off their hinges. Strange looking gas stove top with all the hook up lines in plain view as cupboard door missing that would cover this. Black mold looking marks in corners around tub. Very limited towels provided. Caution to do dishes or a fine would be levied, no dish cloth or dish towels provided. The entire room is so spartan, old and sagging. Must say the sheets were clean and the air conditioning worked. The room is just so done...

"It was not really suitable as a hotel stay. There were no food concessions available on site and no nearby restaurants. The only food delivery was pizza. It was great for fishermen or hunters, but really unsuitable as an overnight hotel."
