"Hotel is well located for the city with a convenient car park. All the staff we came into contact with were lovely, polite and helpful.
The room was clean as was the bathroom but everything is very dated. The bed was very uncomfortable. The shower head was held up with cable ties and an elastic band!
There was an average choice at breakfast, all nicely cooked and hot."
"The breakfast is decent of a buffet style. However the orange and apple juice doesn't taste the freshest. The room was clean and comfy and the bathroom was nice."
"I wanted to change my booking because of my ill father but wasn't able to because i’d already paid & was only the last minute we decided to go,i’m so glad we did such a beautiful old pub ,nice clean rooms, hot shower & even a complementary bottle of wine, just the break we needed & we’ll definately be back
"
"A nice long wknd break in Chester. Staff were friendly. Loved the water dispenser in corridor. Hotel’s location was perfect. The rooms are a nice size with a large bed. Felt comfortable during our stay. Occasional noise from other guests returning to their rooms in early hours of morning; but that happens. Seal on the shower door had come away and so water poured onto bathroom floor during shower & the shower controller was coming away from the wall, which lent to the feeling the rooms were a little tired in places. This didn’t impact our stay and would happily book again. "
"Room very clean, beds very comfortable. Only criticism is the bathroom could do with an upgrade (stayed im a family room). Air conditioning effective and easy to work."
"We had a nice 4 night stay here. It’s a lovely motel. The breakfasts are delicious and a big plus! The complimentary waters, tea, hot chocolate and cookies are also nice. A mini fridge would be a nice addition. The bathroom is big with a very comfortable shower. It’s a little further from the town center (an easy walk) but the river area is very peaceful. All of the staff were wonderful! "
"The breakfast was superb, everything you could wish for…from toast and croissants and doughnuts to a full cooked breakfast.
Our room was fantastic with a view of the mill from bedroom window, bathroom was great for me being disabled, being able to walk in to a wet room was a huge bonus, not available at most hotels."
