"If you want to stay near the pier and good restaurants this is the place to stay. Room 407 had an amazing view of the pier. Friendly staff. Private entrance to The Spot, which is one of our go to places to eat. Has a small play area for the kids. Good pool for the kids too. Doesn't have any shade on the pool though. Cons: not only do you have to pay for parking, the parking garage is actually behind the building across a street. I mean its helpful that its in a garage to block out the TX heat....

"Loved the location direct access to beach view of ocean on balcony! Room is not update but was clean, spacious and has everything needed! Staff was friendly and helpful Hotel in walking distance to everything!"

"Pay the extra $20 to stay somewhere else. -The floor wasn't vacuum -the locks didn't work properly -the toilet ran the entire time we were there -the knob to the bathroom was loose -the shower didn't drain -spots on the blanket Trust me, spend the extra $20 and go elsewhere."

"For the cost per day of the hotel room did not meet our expectations. Rooms are out dated and have not changed since the 1st time we booked them 15 years ago. We are a Landrys club member."

"The 2 best things about the property were the various spacious pools for families with children; and the other was the very sizable king balcony suite. Love the bathroom that had a separate tub from the shower. While we brought some of our own food, the resort breakfast items were average. In addition, any out-of-pocket items to include parking, food items, etc. were pricey. The property primarily caters toward families with children and they do an excellent job."

"The Hyatt Vacation Club at Wild Oak Ranch is ok, but overall disappointing for the price. Our room (king with sofa bed) was quite nice, with a balcony, kitchenette, large tv, and comfortable bed. It had a musty smell though around the entrance where the bathroom door is. The lazy river looked fun but we didn't get a chance to use it, the pool was nice and we used that till it closed at 10pm. "Let me start with the pros. The location. They provide a shuttle that drops you off at the park entrance and picks you up as well which was very helpful. The rooms were very cold which is a plus in this summer heat. Although it took us a little bit to figure out how to control the temperature. The unit is a wall unit that appeared to have broken control knobs but then we later noticed that the control panel is on the wall by the closet. A note or sticker on the unit would have been...

"I am giving this property 4 and a half stars. The thing I liked big trash can outside on the patio . Clean room . Clean towels every day deliver to the room . Friendly friendly staff. The things I didn’t enjoy . Hairdryer was not working , no hangers in the room no coffee . Also cleaning crew came to our room without our permission while we weren’t in the room . They did not have any do not disturb signs. Had to pay quite a bit for the parking each night for that reason I wish they had free...
