"My niece stayed at Joia in March 2026 and it did not disappoint. We were greeted with wash clothes to wipe our hands and was then given a yummy drink that had ginger in it. The lobby was beautiful. "Great location. Right on the beach. 3 onsite restaurants which are a little pricey but excellent food and service. Clean rooms and grounds and pools. Check in process is a little slow but the staff is extremely nice and accommodating. One warning, if you stay in building 7 on the even side of the building ( such as room numbers 7102, 7202, 7324, 7422, 7532, etc.) there is a restaurant/club next door to the resort that plays loud music until 1 or 2 AM. "I think just avoid all inclusive in Aruba but I’d definitely not come back to the Riu Aruba Palace Antillas. The value is just not there at all. The real issue is the food. Other than breakfast and some dishes at the Krystal restaurant, it was really inedible. You can’t make reservations for dinner and most had hour plus wait times by 6:30pm (and you were waiting for not great food). There is basically no food between lunch and dinner. "The room was great… right across from the beach. Location is close to everything Clean room, great housekeeping. Friendly staff, quiet hotel. Just what we wanted. The beach is amazing. Maybe one small thing, the chairs and umbrellas, even if the hotel guests had priority, since it’s a public beach, priority is given to those that pay. Do make sure you secure your spots early, otherwise you may end up with no chairs or shade. "

"My room smelled sooo bad. It smelled like a dog was in the room prior to me occupying it. I called the front desk multiple times in which they tried to resolve the issue by spraying the floors with a freshener. That solution worked for all is 15 minutes. I was just shocked that the Ritz Carlton’s rooms smelled bad especially since the hotel was known for having a really nice fragrance. "
