"The room had some ants and I told the front desk but they didn’t seem to care about they just acted like it was normal and didn’t even offer me nothing to keep me happy bad service will never go back "

"The public areas of the hotel are very nice and well maintained. The pools are plentiful and shade is readily available. I did not go to the beach. Too hot for me. Our room was clean. Nice balcony on the garden view. Furnishings and decor is dated and tired but the hotel has a major update planned so will get better soon. Staff accommodated our reservation request to be close to elevator. Much appreciated. "

"Garbage all over the grounds. Food is basic buffet of fried foods. No restaurants no entertainment. Rooms were not stocked. We basically got two small bottles of water and a 40oz beer. Fighting with the maid for fresh towels a daily battle. Beautiful view has potential but not much at the moment."

"Beautiful property on a hill with infinity pool overseeing the ocean! All ocean view rooms, amazing breakfast each day and access to a great beach front club with gym, pool, beach. The club is however at a a different location than the main property and the hotel provides with hourly transport to and fro. The rooms are dated and bathrooma rather small and old. "

"I recently stayed at Occidental Tamarindo and overall found the experience underwhelming. There were a few positives. The resort is close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy the ocean. The pool area was nice, and it was never difficult to find a chair. The resort is smaller, so it didn’t feel overly crowded. We also arrived a few hours early, and staff allowed us to store our bags and use the pool and restaurant while we waited, which was appreciated. Unfortunately, the negatives outweighed...
