"Breakfast was great and easy. AC and ceiling fan in room was great. Toilet occasionally tank would no fill up for some strange time."

"Everything was clean and everyone was very nice. The kids enjoyed the pools and hot tub and it has great beach access. Our room was cleaned each day and we recieved new towels each day. Overall this is a very well managed, but dated, hotel."

Our room on the 20th floor was stunning with a great view. All the staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in the newest tower, the Cherokee tower. Fanstastic stay."

"Fantastic ocean beach view from the balcony! Could see Wilmington buildings a few miles to the South. Shell Island Resort is at the end of the beach road! Walk the beach 1.5 miles northward the the ocean "river" flowing into the salt water marsh...Amazing!"

"The room was bare ones, yet clean. What I didn't like was that the windows didn't open so you couldnt get fresh beach air through the room. "

"The property is clean and the staff were super helpful. My room had a couple of little things that needed attention, but nothing major. It is a minimalist hotel (which I appreciated), but if you want all the hotel stuff - pen and pad of paper for example, this might not be the place for you. The location was fine - across from the bus terminal, which meant some interesting characters at times, but I never felt unsafe. I would stay here again."

"This hotel had potential but it was alarmingly dirty; from the chairs in the lounge to the shower. The rooms are bigger than a standard hotel room and the Kitchen was a nice addition, but was also dirty(drawers and stocked items need a serious deep clean) "

"The property was right on the beach/sand dunes. There is a set of stairs and a ramp over the Dune from the parking lot. We had a ocean front room with balcony that was very enjoyable. The room was spacious with comfortable beds, full bank of windows facing the Ocean and nice bathroom. Breakfast was a treat every morning with fresh brewed coffee and a hot or cold breakfast; In tidy surroundings. Hotel is centrally located for restaurants, sites and fun. Ample parking. Did not use the indoor pool,...
