"We had a excellent stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bartender was a joy. Our room was spotless and breakfast in the morning was great. The hotel is a short walk from the Duomo and within walking distance of all major sites. I recommend this hotel for the excellent customer service, everyone went out of their way to make sure he had a comfortable stay."

"A great location but would not stay here again. No lift and it's 20+ steps just to get to the lobby level. I was told numerous times there was no breakfast (never asked) and although one staff member said I could use the coffee machine, another member made sure to tell me it was really for the staff and they were letting me as a favor? The single room was not functional at all but the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was so tiny the toilet was blocked by the bidet, really bizarre. "

The facility is clean, centralized where you can walk to all the areas but still off the main path so that it’s quit enough. Their breakfast items were good. "This was our second stay at Maria Novella and we love it there but while we were there there was a soccer game in town, Florence against a team from London. We had a suite overlooking the piazza and for two nights until about midnight the fans from the London team were at the bar two floors down yelling and doing their soccer chants, for hours!! I have never experienced anything like that, there were many police in the area but they didn’t shut them down. Of course we complained along with...

The area directly outside the hotel gate was very sketchy especially if you are traveling solo. Once in the very narrow entrance of the property, you feel safe. "
