First of all the staff is attentive and nice, then the location is the most valuable aspect in its favor, close to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, making it ideal since you can take the subway there. You can also walk just a couple blocks to Times Square and all the amenities you can find over there. "Such great hotel all around. Great location, I had a beautiful view from my 10th floor room. I traveled solo and felt very safe at the Civilian. Walking distance to Broadway shows, Central Park, Hell' Kitchen and Times Square! Staff was also so helpful and welcoming."

"Our first time in this hotel and unfortunately a bad experience. A very old property that needs remodeling. Breakfast was exactly the same every day. The staff mixed things and charged our stay two times, I had to file a subsequent claim."
