"I really like this inn. It’s older and it doesn’t have any amenities like a pool or fitness center, but the owners are so wonderful and the breakfast is really good. It’s kind of an old fashioned place, so older furniture and wall ac units. But it comfortable, a great location, easy and a really good price for downtown st pete. The owners make it special."

"Very cute boutique hotel that is close to everything in downtown St. Petersburg. We stayed 3 nights and they never freshened or cleaned our room. An offer of clean towels would have at least been appreciated. Also, no regular cream for coffee and you only get one bottle of water per stay. Seems a little cheap to me"

"The Avalon never disappoints. The property is amazing and so convenient to anything and everything you would need. The staff treats you like family. Will is the host with the most~ the love and attention he pays to his visitors and employees is so heartfelt and thoughtful. By far my favorite hotel and it makes the St Pete adventurous even that much more enjoyable. 💗"

"I will definitely come back to this nice hotel. I loved the atmosphere and attention to details. I would have rated 5 stars if I hadn’t have issues with the pillows which we found very uncomfortable. I texted to the online service and it took three representatives to finally get two pillows delivered."

"Stayed here for one night. Paid $300. Got room #632 which had a view of everybody walking by the pool area and the side of another building. It seemed pretty invasive even though there are tints on the windows which prevent people on the outside from seeing in. One of the only few good things about this trip would be Nick with valet, however, his worker who was knew brought my car down from the top floor of the garage, with 0 psi in my tire.. "Staff was wonderful. Rooms are nice but dark. Our room didn't have much natural light and even with the lights on it was dark. Breakfast is good but a light breakfast. We enjoyed our stay that was right across the street from Straub Park and the Pier. Lots of walking, shopping and dining!! Really enjoyed St Pete."

"I checked in late, no a/c in the room and I was in for the night by 11pm after driving around to find food so hot and miserable I checked out before 8am couldn’t sleep after 2 showers but room was large view was nice. I didn’t see anywhere there breakfast to have."

"The hotel was beautiful in certain aspects, but it could be maintained better. The original tile in the main area was a nice touch. The bed linens felt cheap and the AC wasn't very cold in our room. They allow pets so at times I felt like I was in a petting zoo. Overall, probably not worth the high rates they charge."

"This place was the worst experience of my entire life. The front desk was empty, and no one answered the phone. When I finally managed to get someone to help me, they informed me that there was no room available for me. Eventually, she gave me a key for a room that was not even clean, and it was filled with people doing smoking ilegal things. I never stayed. I had to go back home and my weekend was ruined."
