Ocean Blue & Sand Beach Resort - All Inclusive

10/10 Excellent

"My wife and I really liked this resort. We've been to the DR 8 times, and I would say that this place ranks in the top 3. Check in was smooth. We had a 3rd floor room in building 9 which was a very convenient place to be. There are 2 main pools. We spent our time at the one closest to the beach. The staff does an awesome job keeping them clean. You will read reviews where folks say there are not enough umbrellas around the pool. That is pure crap, there are plenty. We were usually poolside by 9:00 and always got the spot we wanted. The guys at the swim-up bar were awesome! Diogenes (Dio), Wander and Francisco took good care of everyone. We would hit the beach in the afternoon and never had a problem finding chairs in the shade. Yes, there is seaweed at the beach, but the staff does their best to keep up with it. The food at the main buffet was pretty good. The guys making the omelets in the morning were 1st class. There is a small buffet at the beach (open air) which is perfect for lunch. As for dinner we tried Route 66 which was really good American food (shout out to Yaris in this place), the Steakhouse (shout out to Jose), and the Japanese restaurant were also very good. The Piano Lounge is an awesome stop. The gent starts playing at 9:00, plays for about 45 minutes, takes a 30-minute break, and then plays from 10:15 until 11:00. He plays 8 to 10 songs, and you knew every one of them (Elton, Billy, Queen, etc…). We have already said that we are coming back next year."

"Staff was very friendly and fun. We ate every day at the buffet, which every day they served something different. Only complaint was that at the buffet, they were in a hurry to take your plate and drinks, so we had to make sure one of us stayed at table when the other person went to get dessert. Our room was always well stocked and cleaned every day. Resort was definitely family friendly. Something to do for all ages day and night. Will definitely go back!"

"Très beau séjour, buffet super, staff génial, chambre propre Les 2 choses qui seraient à améliorer : mettre plus de climatisation dans la salle de sport et l’accès à un café de meilleur qualité au bar. La machine à café expresso était brisée et on ne pouvait que prendre du café dans une machine automatique. Sinon rien à redire"

"Before anything, I have to mention the staff at JOIA. Everyone was so lovely and welcoming and that made the trip so much more enjoyable. Our butlers Danilo and Edward were lovely and constantly gave us daily updates with everything happening each day with hours of the restaurants. They were always asking if we needed anything and decorated our room for us (we were on our honeymoon). Maria our concierge was also very sweet and personally reached out to make sure everything was going smoothly. She also helped us with reservations. It was really nice to be at a resort where staffs energy was very welcoming! The resort itself was just beautiful. The breeze from the ocean to the lobby seating area was my favourite part. Food was delicious, especially the restaurants (the Italian one was my favourite). Overall a great experience and we’ll definitely be back!"

"El hotel Grand Bavaro Princess es sin duda un lugar en el cual debes hospedarte para vivir la maravillosa experiencia que puedes vivir en el, las habitaciones son excelentes y refrescantes con un personal muy atento en su limpieza y refill del frigobar. En el ámbito de sus alimentos todos sus restaurantes y buffets fueron una delicia, no hubo un solo día en el cual pueda comentar algo positivo y destacar mucho el ambiente mundialista que había en todo el resort fue espectacular! Desde el área de reservas me ayudaron con una decoración bonita por nuestro cumpleaños el cual era uno de los motivos del viaje y sin duda alguna fueron la milla extra con la decoración que realizaron y considerando cada requerimiento solicitado. El hotel cuenta con una rica flora y fauna la cual es muy hermosa poder ver los pavos reales y tortugas alrededor de todo el resort vivir en paz y armonía. Tuve el placer de estar en la zona platinum con la cual me gustaría destacar la atención de Carlos en el bar de la piscina platinum y Juan Carlos y Morancy en el restaurante Chopin sin duda alguna son unos de los muchos de los excelentes elementos con los cual cuenta este hotel, sin duda alguna a futuro volveré a hospedarme en este hotel y ya que hicieron que mi estadía y visita a república domenicana fuera inolvidable."
