"Cant beat the location. Just next to York Minster and tons of restaurants. Walking distance to the Shambles and almost everything. The only issue that actually makes our stay not comfortable is that the hotel does not have Air conditioner. We were there during heat wave and this make the stay in the room really unbearable. The temperature in the room was so much higher than the outside. The staff was nice and try to give us 2 fans and a bucket of ice. Still felt very hot. The breakfast was set...

"This isnt a manned hotel.. Its comfortable clean rooms in an unoccupied house.
That being said its secure warm and a great stay. Slept really well. The bathroom and shower where great. 10 min walk into town great quiet location.
I had to contact owners as door code wasn't received. Call was answered quickly and help was brilliant"

It's a lovely cosy pub too with a fantastic beer garden. All the benefit of staying at a pub without any noise, whatsoever, in any of the rooms...we've stayed in them all over the years!
