"Such a lovely guest house, the interiors were absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and comfortable, featuring classic period furniture. The bed was very cosy. The bathroom was perfect. The shower was spacious with excellent water pressure. Tasty cooked breakfast. Location was great, about a 20 min walk in to York City Centre. Highly recommend."

"Really great hotel with so much attention to detail. Record players in the room and a huge selection of records is a really nice touch. The Radio was on when we arrived to our room and the Pantry is generous & a really unique touch. Canadian lady on the Bar was knowledgeable & super friendly (Pleasantly surprised at how reasonable the extensive bar menu was priced). Just really really cool & great location."

"Only one criticism I have is about the parking .There are only 2 parking spaces at the B&B this only came to my attention when I had booked and received the welcome email/text .i was lucky while I was staying I managed to get one for the 3 days .Other than its a great place to stay very clean and well maintained ."

"The Hotel went the extra mile it was my wife 60th Birthday on the 7 July .The hotel up upgraded my room to house they done it up for my wife special birthday everything was immaculous fist class.The staff were only to happy to help 24/7. The Breakfast excellent top quality food plenty of choice. I Booked a spa for my wife for the 8th July it was more than exception."

"Hotel is excellent, our room was well cared for and very comfortable, it had everything we needed. Location was superb, walking distance to all the main visitor stops and shopping and cafes restaurants too. Staff are wonderful, knowledgeable, helpful and polite without being intrusive. "The hotel is perfectly placed in the centre of York and easy to get to. The staff were lovely and were able to accommodate giving us a lower-level room, which was so helpful (especially when pregnant in a heatwave!). There were lots of options available in the mini bar as well as teas, coffees, etc. The room was very comfortable and clean - we will definitely return next time we come to York."
