Failure to Provide Advertised Services
I am submitting this review as a formal complaint regarding my stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum, which, in my experience, involved significant misrepresentation of services and failure to deliver what was advertised at the time of booking.
The resort is marketed as an all-inclusive property, yet numerous core components of an all-inclusive experience were either unavailable, restricted, or subject to additional undisclosed charges. This created a materially different experience than what was represented prior to purchase.
Guests are led to believe that access is provided to seven on-site restaurants. However, upon arrival, we were informed that these restaurants were already fully booked, leaving no reasonable opportunity to dine at them during our stay. This limitation was not disclosed prior to arrival and effectively restricted guests to a single cafeteria-style dining option of notably low quality and limited variety.
Additionally, advertised amenities such as pool service and accessible food service throughout the property were absent. Entertainment was also misrepresented. Shows were promoted as included in the all-inclusive package, yet guests were later informed that attendance required an additional charge of $per person, which constitutes a clear bait-and-switch practice.
Unexpected resort fees were charged despite the booking being presented as all-inclusive.
