We stayed in an oceanview suite April 7-13, 2026 & had a wonderful time.
Pros: The property is very clean & staff were always accomodating & cheerful. Pools were wonderful & beach area is very nice. The evening music in the lobby bar was always great. We really enjoyed LaLuce (Italian) & Noriku (Asian) & the Vela buffet/restaurants - food & service were excellent. Maxal (Mexican) & Flama (Steakhouse) were disappointing in comparison.
Cons: There was a lot of construction noise that got to be irritating. They need more bathrooms around the pool area. The evening entertainment was not great - with the exception of the "Circus" night - that was great!

We went as a family. I have 2 boys: 8 and 10. They love the ocean, so they spent a lot of their time at the beach. There were plenty of activities throughout the day. The pool area was always lively and music being played by a dj throughout the day. Restaurants were good. Most felt like they were rushing us, except the steakhouse. Food was very good overall. It was a nice property for a last minute trip. We had the room upgrade with the plunge pool, which made this trip all the more amazing. My kids were in that pool for hours. Overall, the staff were attentive and very hospitable. We love Mexico!

Traveling with kids 9 and 11- resort is lacking in organized activities for kids their age. Food is average, hard to get dinner reservations even though we were Enclave. Overall, resort was ok. We will not return here when we visit Cancun again.

The room was very small - our family of 4 was cramped. It did have 2 queen sized beds, but they pretty much took up the whole space of the bedroom. The bathroom was overly large - probably could've some of that space to make the bedroom bigger. The bedroom area and bathroom were clean, no issues there. The staff was also very nice. The resort is best for those with very young children. The 'water park' is for not for teens or pre-teens, so those kids will really only have the pools and the beach. I didn't find other activities for my teenage kids to do - we had to go off-site for that. One final complaint - the 24 hour coffee shop is understaffed. There are often long lines at 7 AM just to get coffee. Also, the buffet restaurant wait staff seem overwhelmed.

As an all inclusive resort, I am not impress and upgrading to enclave level for $99 /night USD is so worth it. The service is bad on day one. Guess was not given enough attentions especially for new arrival to the hotel and check-in. I wasn't even offer a glass of water or something to drink while I waited for 30 minutes in the lobby to check-in. Not sure if anyone is going to help me. Dinning at the resort restaurants are a disaster, restaurant seem to be under staffed and not well trained. Not flexible in attending to the customer needs, why is Miso Soup only be offered at a certain table within the same Japanese food Restaurant, come on it's all inclusive.

Disappointing experience overall. Customer service is poor, especially for paying extra for the Enclave. Multiple room requests were never fulfilled, and housekeeping sucks. Food was okay. The property layout is confusing and difficult to navigate. The only stand out feature was the spa!

We really enjoyed our stay at Hilton Mar caribe! We booked a cabana for our sunny days and that was the right call because the chair-saving game is crazy. Our older kids (10 and 13) loved the social sandbar and it was great entertainment for when it rained. We had some really outstanding food (the fresh mango from the breakfast buffet, the beef carpaccio appetizer from the steakhouse, and beef yakitori from noriku) but we did eventually tire of the buffet. My hot stone massage was WONDERFUL and the hydro circuit was a fun little treat. Our housekeeper Rosa was amazing; so quick and clean and considerate. Overall we felt some service was really attentive and some not so much. One meal we may have a really wonderful server, and the next meal, they were disinterested. For service, Leo at the pool was one of the outstanding people; absolutely top notch!

We were very disappointed with our stay due to poor service and organization.
Upon arrival, no one greeted us or assisted with our luggage. At check-in, the front desk was disorganized—one employee was on his phone saying his shift had not started, and there was no clear process despite no line.
In our unit, the air conditioning could not be turned off. We called for assistance, were told someone would come, but no one ever did.
Dining and service were major issues. Restaurant food quality was poor, cocktails were not good except in restaurants, and cups were sometimes dirty. Poolside service was minimal, with staff rarely offering drinks or clearing empty items. The reservation system was also frustrating and unreliable.
While the room was clean and breakfast was good, overall service was consistently poor. The experience was frustrating enough that we were counting the days to go home.

The room were nice and clean, The pools and beach were beautiful. Staff were wonderful. My biggest complaint is that getting reservations at the restaurants was very difficult and we ended up eating at 8:30 or 9:00 every night because we couldn't get anything earlier.

Property itself is run down and worn. Entertainment in the evenings was lacking considerably. Lots of pools though and staff did a good job trying to keep up with sargassum on the beach.

Very nice, would come again, got there early and was checked in to my room early no extra charge, and great rooms too.
Food, you won't be disappointed, unless you like coconuts cuz there aren't any, I hoped for a station that makes juice smoothies, don't need the proteins whey or spirulina, just a blend of any of the wide selection of fruit available with water or milk would be so appreciated.
And bring Pepto Bismol, not sure what got me there but I spent 2nd and 3rd day in the toilets. (Think my "medium" Arrachera steak since it was rare) Wife and daughter were fine with theirs.
Staff, mostly friendly, sometimes bartenders looked like they had enough, and seeing how much they do, I would be moody too, just treat them well $ or $$, not ideal but you will get treated better and with a smile.
Seaweed tip, avoid it if you can, daughter and I were fine and we touched a lot of it, my wife not so lucky, she still itching like crazy after 10 days now, there could be jellyfish tangled up or larvae. Arms and legs full of itchy red spots.
Pools were a 3/5 unfortunately, mid March had some cool weather so we hoped for warm pools but nope, they rely on the sun to heat up water it seems, clouier days people barely went in, water was not warm, actually warmer in the beach. Even the various small pools with jets were cold, they looked like big Jacuzzi with bunch of jets but had same temperature as other pools. Don't know if broken or by design.
Really fun entertainment, favorite part!

I'm sure this is a lovely resort, but we were unable to go because the Cartel and Mexican police were at war the day before our arrival. We called this resort and a rep named Cole advised us not to come b/c violence was only 5 miles away. He said Hilton made a blanket decision that all cancellations would receive a 100% refund. Three weeks later, we still haven't seen a dime. Expedia is dragging their feet saying the hotel will not return their calls and emails for approval. I find that hard to believe. My only choice is to share with others about this horrible Expedia experience.

They seemed to be short on staff. Plates and cups left everywhere. Dont expect wait service for drinks or towels. The restaurants have excellent food. Our group of 16 rated 3 stars. Nothing exceptional

Very clean, professional and friendly staff, and very responsive, family friendly pools, they have a small games room for tweens and teens for evenings. Beach is lovely, clean and smooth sand, although the current was too strong the week we were there so we couldn’t swim in the ocean. Buffet was very good for breakfast and lunch, but was repetitive and somewhat limited selection for dinners, Italian restaurant was excellent in food and service. Good Mexican performance show in evening. Great stay overall.
