Our room was good clean and nice view . It was ocean view. Staff are good especially Daniel in Chianti Restaurant it was excellent service shout out to him. Food that restaurant was excellent too.

Staff was helpful and friendly. You have to get up early to reserve beach chairs in the shade. Easy access from beach to pool and rooms. It is hard to make reservations at the restaurants (chianti and umami) even if you get up at 7am. You can only reserve for day of and next day, cannot book ahead. We were in this hotel for 2 weeks, which gave us 2 umami and 4 chianti allowable dinners and were only able to schedule 3 of our 6 allowable reservations. Umami is especially difficult to get into. The main restaurant, balam, changes meals daily so it isn't always the same food which is nice. The lobby does have timeshare salesman, but they were nice, we just had to avoid eye contact. Beware the local mall. It will bankrupt you. Overall, we were very happy with our vacation.

Night manager was very rude and disrespectful. I Will not be returning and will not recommend. This was a family trip for my father and we were very disappointed.
This is the person who was extremely rude and disrespectful to my 78 year old father. After addressing his behavior we asked for another person and he said I’m the only one here so deal with it. He posed for us to take the picture.

Good & Bad: The room was clean & roomy. Don’t stay near the front of the hotel because the traffic is extremely loud and there are hundreds of motorcycles racing at all hrs. of the night keeping you awake. They’re doing major construction next-door so you will hear jackhammers and pounding 24 hrs a day. There’s also lots of stairs. They only gave us one wash rag for two ppl and we had to ask daily for more. The breakfast buffet offered HOT DOGS instead of sausage, ham or bacon. It’s not “All Inclusive” as advertised. At Umami, the Asian restaurant, you can only order the selected items with a star and can only eat there 1X. Chianti Italian is 1X only too, although both restaurants were good. So basically you are left to eat the buffet the rest of the time or the Mexican outdoor restaurant by the beach, which was pretty good. The alcoholic drinks seemed to have very little alcohol. We had to drink 2X’s the amount of drinks that we normally would. I think it’s because they want you to tip each time you get a drink, so they make more tips. Upon check-in, you will be bombarded by the excursion reps trying to get you to book right away. The staff was very friendly and helpful but some had trouble speaking or understanding English. The hotel arranged our shuttle to and from the airport and we were pleased with the company they use. The spa is fantastic! I had 2 massages! Overall I’d give a 7.5 out of 10.

Overall it was good. The buffet is not open for lunch. Pool is smaller and can be crowded. The beach is quite nice. Rooms and most of the staff are very good and the bed was comfortable. Some strange rules such as having to wear closed toe shoes to dine at the buffet even though Crocs are acceptable and it is a beachside resort. Also the Taco Stand dining and the coffee shop are not included in the all inclusive package. Wait staff at the beach and in bars and restaurants are great! If you are in the Street side it is very noisy due to Motorcycles and Sirens making sleeping difficult

This property is small enough to be very personal, but large enough to have all amenities. Many of the staff gets to know your name by the end of the week! Check in and out was very easy. The restaurants food was excellent, with lots of variety each day. Beachside service was second to none, with plenty of beachside chairs available.

The highlights for me were the service and the food! We originally stayed in a standard issue room, and let me tell you, the upgrade of $50 per night for a large room with a balcony and ocean view is totally worth it! Our standard issue room was very dark and dingy with a window that didn’t open. It’s worth noting that there’s only one pool at this resort and it’s a non-stop party. The whole resort is pretty loud. You have to go way down the beach to enjoy a moment of peace. So, if you are a “read by the pool” type person, this resort is probably not for you! Overall, we enjoyed your stay.

Staff were exceptional, very hardworking, very accommodating, very friendly, took great care of us. Our balcony view was phenomenal I couldn’t have asked for better. It was a great stay, would do it again

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were always clean when I returned. Food was incredible. The bartenders were friendly and remembered your name and drink. Will return here next visit to cancun

The property was awesome. Everyone was so amazing. Juan jose the bartender was always on top of getting us drinks. My girlfriend wanted everyone to know you have a amazing employee. The food was top notch. We are so impressed with this hotel we will be staying here again. I do wish they had Mexican food night in the Balam more than once a week. Also, it would be cool if the hot tub was open until 9 pm or 10pm so you could have some relaxing time after dinner. My buddy Caleb said it was the best week of his life at this resort.Great job NYX staff. Keep up the great work.

The pool and beach view were amazing! Pool bar very slow and only had indoor breakfast but all was still good. Staff friendly and fun activites.

Where do we start? After looking at some negative reviews online we wwre sceptical but dont let those haters fool you! Haters are never gonna be happy. The moment we stepper in the hotel we were greeted with a kind bellman Miguel took out luggages to our room and the check in was smooth! This was my first time in Cancun but my wife has been here many times. The first fay we arrived pretty late but our room was so vlose to everything. The room was spacious and clean. Except i would have recommended the designers to put a fan or vent in the washroom which needed one. Besides that the beach was amazing! It was warm and we had a cabana on most days and loved the pool and the jacuzzi. At our first two nighrs the moon welcomed us bright in the sky and we also saw the blood moon at 4am how cool is that! The restaurant staff were above and beyond kind special thank you to Shannik, Karla and Viviana they had such a welcoming personality and always made sure we were happy. Shannik was such a sweet server and we loved seeing here eveyday and talking to her was amazing! Their kindness will never be forgotten. The food was amazing. The gym was nice and I trained with a boxing coach for a couple of days who apparently is a peofessional not sure why they didnt have that for all days. The view the ocean and the spa was amazing! We will miss our stay and the warmt of the Mexican people. On behalf of my esposa and me gracias por todo!

The beach front had a lot of seaweeds but they clean it every day. The room were very clean. We had a océan vire with a large porch. The only thing is the restaurant was good but it was cold.

Small, boutique hotel. The good: The staff was outstanding at every turn. The food was above average. The room was big (standard room) and the bed comfortable. The A/C was robust. Great beach with plenty of chairs and palapas. The bad: Only one breakfast restaurant. Only one lunch restaurant. Too many ( silly) rules, such as men have to wear shoes to dinner, but not to breakfast or lunch, but women can wear scandals all the time. Only two bars.
