"Palmaia never disappoints; it is quite like paradise in every way imaginable. The property itself is stunning, as are the accommodations. Every room faces the beach, and you can hear the tide even with the sliding door to your room closed. The rooms are immaculate and contribute to the Zen quality of the resort. The food is absolutely delicious. We have stayed here now four times, and the quality of the food is unwavering. Alas, we do have one complaint, which is they now include animal...

"For the price, this is a great stay for the area. I booked because it seemed close to the hospital where my dad was admitted. Unfortunately because of the road system, we had to drive all the way to Xcaret to turn around and head the direction of the hospital across the street. I checked in around 9pm, and nothing was open on-site or within walking distance for a drink or bite or even water. The front desk staff was amazing. Very welcoming, helpful and friendly. "If you want to vacation on a budget, this is the place. However, despite this place being semi-affordable, I do think it was still overpriced for what you get. The best part of the property was the vegetation. The resort is massive and for every meal you will need to take a shuttle which comes in 15 minute intervals. Not very senior citizen or stroller friendly, since there is a lot of getting on and getting off. The staff is pretty friendly but if you want something done you need to demand it....

"The property is nice, the staff is super friendly, and its close to xcaret! The only thing that I would point out is that the pillows could be better, and the shower. The water flow shuts off after some time and it makes you have to turn back the knobs and turn it back on. Other than that, this hotel is okay. "

The quality of Mexican food I get here in the US is way better than the food served at the resort. However, cleanliness of the facility and staff courtesy were more important to me I am not alcohol drinker. I wish there was a way to make up for people like me - better food quality and nominal fee for being served alcohol maybe? Thanks"
